Pastor Ulysses Wang
The Remnant Presbyterian Church
Pastor Ulysses' first experience with The Remnant Presbyterian Church was through its campus ministry at New York University, where he was an undergraduate student in the business school. He was involved in the ministry from his sophomore through senior years, and upon graduation, continued to serve as a member of the ministry's staff. At that point he also began attending Remnant Church on a regular basis. After several years of involvement with NYU, he began studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA, from which he received a Master in Divinity in 2006. During his seminary years he shifted his focus from campus ministry to junior and senior high school students. After four years serving as Remnant's youth pastor, he is currently ministering as an Assistant Pastor. Pastor Ulysses met his wife, Christine, at the campus ministry at NYU. They've been married since May of 2006 and currently reside in Harlem. Christine works as a producer at a Manhattan-based media agency.
Pastor Bruce Yi
Remnant Westside Church
While attending Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, Pastor Bruce served as an associate pastor at the Remnant Presbyterian Church and as a campus staff leader at New York University. Starting with much prayer and less than a handful of students in the late summer of 1995, the Remnant Christian Fellowship soon grew to 60-80 students. A sister fellowship at the Parsons School of Design soon followed. As God continued to guide and speak to him, Pastor Bruce was convicted and encouraged to plant a campus/young adult church in Chelsea in the fall of 2002. Almost a year later, in October of 2003, Remnant Westside Church was born! As his tenure with Remnant Westside continues, P. Bruce's commitment to the church grows even stronger. He wants to see people embrace God through worship that is both freeing and glorifying to Him; to live out their Christian lives to the fullest within the context of the church; and to build a strong community with a compassion for others. As he explains, he wants to "help people fully embrace the highest and deepest part of worship." In his spare time, P. Bruce enjoys photography, playing golf, eating and spending time with his family. P. Bruce currently lives in Bayside, New York with his wife, Sunghee, and his two children, Joshua and Ruth.
